The aim behind this campaign in to<em> promote<\/em> Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in Pakistan. In many countries including Pakistan, <em>discussing <\/em>Sexual and Reproductive health issues is considered a <em>taboo<\/em>. Seeking medical help is out of question for many. A huge amount of people living in Rural areas lack even the <em>basic knowledge<\/em> regarding SRHR. Story writing is a<em> powerful <\/em>tool to help spread <em>awareness<\/em>. It derives its meaning from the context of <em>#metoo<\/em> &#8211; sexual harrasment campaign. #WeToo focuses on how men and women are<em> not allowed to share<\/em> their sexual and reproductive health issues simply because it is considered shameful. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalcitizen.org\/en\/content\/what-is-srhr\/\">SRHR<\/a> stands for <em>Sexual Reproductive Health Rights<\/em>. <em>Sexual health<\/em> is the <em>physical<\/em>, <em>mental<\/em> and <em>social<\/em> security of men and women. Sexual rights are the rights associated with one&#8217;s <em>sexuality,<\/em> <em>sexual privacy<\/em> and <em>pleasure<\/em>. Each one of us has a right to make descisions for ourselves. Marriage <em>does not <\/em>give your partner the right to <em>dictate <\/em>your sexual life and this needs to be accepted and respected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Reproductive health rights<\/em> are the basic rights to <em>decide <\/em>for your reproductive capability. Deciding when and if to have children is your right.  Couples should be allowed to<em> mutually<\/em> decide and carry out family planning. Seeking <em>medical help<\/em> and<em> consultation<\/em> and <em>not<\/em> being discriminated against for doing so is also part of your reproductive rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details of #WeToo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for <em>authentic<\/em> stories that highlight the harsh realities we face in Pakistan. <em>Domestic abuse<\/em>,<em> marital rape<\/em>, having <em>no consent<\/em> in family planning, being <em>harrased online<\/em> by threats to leak your private information or pictures on the internet are all around us. We witness these stories on a day to day basis but in <em>whispers<\/em> and <em>private chats<\/em>. By bringing these stories to the forefront, we want to show <em>support <\/em>to the victims and make the perpetrators feel threatened. We hope to <em>educate<\/em> our public on <em>what<\/em> their rights are so that next time they are being <em>shamed<\/em>, they know how to <em>defend<\/em> themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Word limit for the story writing competition is<strong> 1500-2000<\/strong> words.
