The show was hosted by our Cheif Editor<\/em> Ms Summaiya Naveed<\/a> and Content Manager<\/em> Ms Samin Alam Qureshi<\/a>. Our guests Ms Iris Pi<\/a> and Ms Sanne thijssen<\/a> joined and contributed to the talk on SRHR <\/em>and #WeToo story writing competition<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recap Of The Facebook Live<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Based on the theme of our writing competition<\/em>, the Facebook Live<\/a> was aimed at educating <\/em>our viewers on Sexual and Reproductive health and rights<\/em>. (Read more about SRHR on our blog here)<\/a> Our guests emphasized on the importance of vocalizing<\/em> stories to spread awareness<\/em> and tackle injustice<\/em> from its roots. They also spoke about how a lot of people shy away from telling their personal stories. Our hosts suggested writers may use their pen names<\/em> instead. The main idea is to bring forward these stories in order to engage in a useful<\/em> and healthy<\/em> conversation to overcome the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Guests From Stories to Action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ms Iris Pi<\/strong> is the Co-founder of Stories To Action. Being a global citizen<\/em>, Iris has work<\/em>, training<\/em> and volunteer<\/em> experience in the Philippines<\/em>, Egypt<\/em>, the United States of America<\/em>, Thailand<\/em> and Vietnam<\/em>. Iris’ research and work focuses on the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms Sanne Thijssen<\/strong>, Co-founder Stories to Action, is also the founder of Shake The Dust<\/em>, an independent consultancy working on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)<\/em>, and meaningful youth participation. Sanne’s work within the field of SRHR has led to her nomination as a Women Deliver Young Leader <\/em>(2018-2020 Class).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
