She is also a <strong>linguist<\/strong> with teaching experience spanning <strong>11<\/strong> years, currently teaching at the <strong>Rifa International University<\/strong>. On top of that she is also the founder of a youth led educational organisation: <strong>Yaduri<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fmydaastan%2Fvideos%2F175835994506852%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"314\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>MicroScholarship Program transforming the lives of orphans in Pakistan<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Differing from traditional scholarships, the MicroScholarship program specifically caters to the <em>underprivileged strata<\/em> of society. Its success is perceived through its presence in over <strong>87<\/strong> countries. Further, it points towards what the privileged owe to society on a larger scale. This leads one to think of their individual roles in elevating the downtrodden.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Potential within the Education sector<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When asked about what attracts her towards the education sector, Ms.Kiran points towards the sheer flow of knowledge. She believes it\u2019s a <strong>two way street<\/strong>. From not only the teacher to the student, but also the student to the teacher. <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cYou are never outdated if you are a teacher\u201d. \u2014 Kiran\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to that, widening the scope of one\u2019s influence towards people who truly need it provides an extremely gratifying experience. While talking about the bright and intelligent underprivileged children of Pakistan, she says <i>\u201cInvest in them and you\u2019ll get a reward\u201d.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Bridging gaps between education and class: MicroScholarships<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MicroScholarships act as a tool in ensuring that the underprivileged get \u201caccess to the opportunities\u201d that could potentially help them be socially mobile. These programs are funded by the US embassy. They <strong>support<\/strong> and <\/span><b>sponsor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> English language opportunities and specifically focus on the underprivileged group.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only eligibility requirements are to be bright and not from the elite class. With such a criteria one sees the orphans of Pakistan gaining access to much needed opportunities. Ms. Kiran quotes an example by talking about the <a href=\"http:\/\/afir.org.pk\/admission\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apna Ghar <\/a>orphanage, whose residents can avail programs like this free of cost. <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are giving opportunities to the students who cannot go abroad otherwise, who cannot get a good education otherwise\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, before <strong>COVID<\/strong> the program would allow for students to be sent abroad for conferences. However even within the current two year program, they receive \u00a0a<strong> \u201ccomplete package\u201d<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Personal contributions towards Educating the children of Pakistan<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deviating from state sponsored efforts, Ms. Kiran\u2019s organization, Yaduri, sheds light on the importance of individual contribution. It aims to \u201ceducate the less privileged group of society\u201d, including <strong>Afghani<\/strong> students as well. Currently they are hoping to collaborate with the <\/span><b>Turkish<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> government in order to initiate exchange programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kiran\u2019s grandfather who was an orphan himself, is her inspiration. With her grandfather\u2019s story in mind, she is doing everything she can to help the orphans.
