How long does it take?
Seven days from your manuscript arriving to the book on sale, provided you approve the cover and formatting promptly when we send them.
Is editing included?
No — and we say it plainly rather than in small print. This package formats and designs what you send. If your manuscript needs editing first, look at our Book Publishing service, which includes it.
Where will my e-book be sold?
On Daastan — your own sales page, with a free sample, readable in our reader on any device. We do not list it on Kindle or other stores.
Can readers copy or share the file?
Your book is read inside Daastan's reader, tied to the buyer's account — it is not handed out as a file to forward.
Do I keep the rights?
Yes, all of them. You retain full intellectual property; we publish and sell the e-book, and you can take your book elsewhere whenever you like.
What do I earn per copy?
You set the price and keep 70% of it — price at Rs 500, earn Rs 350; price at Rs 800, earn Rs 560. The calculator on our home page shows the same numbers your royalty statement will.
