What is DICE?
DICE Artist Commission is an initiative by the British Council, that is changing the course for economy. DICE is short for Developing Inclusive and Creative Economies. From its name, we can tell that the programme is hybrid. A hybrid that caters to economic ventures with an artistic point of view.
A Sneak Peak into DICE
The programme encourages innovative thinking and creativity across disciplines & continents. It is led by a global team in Brazil, Pakistan, South Africa, Egypt, Indonesia and the UK. DICE aims to create an interactive environment between artists, policy makers and the intermediaries. Such collaborations aid in networking and bring social change. Morevover, the programme is specifically designed to facilitate people who are often deprived of economic opportunities. So the commission provides future possibilities and opportunities for all alike without any discrimination. And especially to women, youth and those who otherwise suffer because of their race, colour, religion, gender and sexual orientations.
